About Voss and Voss Vind
Voss, located in the heart of Fjord Norway, is a mecca for outdoor adventures all year round. Only an hour away from Bergen and a 30 minutes’ drive to the Hardangerfjord and the Sognefjord, it is the perfect place to explore the fjords. In spring, our famous rivers are at its best, and all visitors should consider a day out white water rafting or kayaking. If you are not that into getting wet, this is also the best season to enjoy the beautiful waterfalls around town.
Nature and adventure
Whether you seek an adrenaline-filled vacation or just want to enjoy nature in your own pace, we got something to offer. The high-rope course is popular for all ages, and so is the family rafting. A tandem skydive will definitely get your heart pumping. In summer, you can also visit our medieval church, Vangskyrkja, and get a guided tour at the local folk museum.
Hiking season starts in late-June, but it is at its best in August-October. There are enough tracks and mountains to spend weeks walking. Just imagine the feeling when the views over the fjord landscape stretching out after hiking for 4 hours! If it rains one day, as it might do, it is the perfect possibility to try indoor skydiving at Voss Vind, Norway’s only indoor skydiving vertical wind tunnel with tempered air-circulation.
